Execudex is an extremely successful email marketing company that continually provides extraordinary results driven by their high level expertise and database of professional prospects. The one thing that their successful business model was missing was a fresh branding strategy to convey exactly who they are and what phenomenal service they can offer. That is where we came in.

T & M Photography Logo

We designed a stunning logo for T&M Photography

Toni Smailagic, the creative photographer behind T&M Photography, commissioned Beta Images to build his brand. With experience and skill as the foundation for his photography, we had to develop a logo with the same professional and artistic feel his photography portrays, while maintaining an easily identifiable design regardless of the media format. Utilizing T&M as the foundation for the logo, we designed the logo with a simple, enclosed structure with enough artistic flare based on a camera shutter to set his brand on a higher tier of professionalism.

The IRS Hitman is a new reality show focused the helping Americans out of debt. The IRS Hitman is a previous employee of the IRS that has switched to the side of hope and now travels all over the US helping those in need get out of IRS Tax Debt. Union of Heroes

A wallpaper with Heroism written all over it

Sometimes a designer just needs to break away from the day to day routine of Logo Design, PHP Programming, and CSS3/HTML 5 tweaking. Here in our first Design Deposit, I opted to share a recent personal project I’ve been working on. It started off a quick sketch and quickly evolved into a full fledge wallpaper with some Hero favorites such as Captain America, Spawn, and of course Batman. Now bear in mind, these are my own renditions of each crusader so their look and feel don’t stick to the standard cookie cutter design you may be used to. Wallpaper after the break!

Battle Royale

A friendly battle between designers

A while back, myself, David Miller, and a fellow designer, Ben Machado, had a friendly little design competition. It was a blast and I really can’t wait for the rematch where we can both dedicate more time to it! Be sure to comment and let us know what you think.

HVAC Explorer – Brand Development

We built their brand with professional support in mind

HVAC Explorer is a professional technical support web application the allows the user to request information and help regarding all of their HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) needs. Their target market consists almost entirely of blue collar workers who many not be very computer savvy so focusing on simplicity and usability were more than preferred features, they were a necessity. With every fresh start to a brand from the ground up, the first objective was developing the heart of a company, their logo.

Tutorial: Create a sliding drawer effect with only CSS and jQuery

We recently launched Clothes Mates for Veronica McCain, an entrepreneur who developed an excellent product that allows you to quickly and easily manage your wardrobes. It’s excellent for those who like to stay organized or may be living in the fast lane. We built their entire brand from the ground up including their logo, packaging, and website. The works. One neat feature we included on the website was a dresser illustration on the sidebar of each page with sliding drawers. This effect could be created with Adobe Flash but I opted to use 100% CSS and jQuery.

We are now adding a Design Deposit section!

It has been far too long since I’ve blogged but fortunately it is an itch I can scratch. Myself, like all designers, thrive off of design and it is the life force the moves us forward each day. Unfortunately, my outlet is often dwarfed by other priorities, but no longer! Our creative juices can’t be fueled off of logos, brochures, and websites forever. Now Beta Images is adding a Design Deposit category and we will be updating it frequently with any personal projects we are working on! It’s always nice to see a more personal side of your designer. Be warned, I have an interesting imagination so most of my sketches are kind of out there.

You can view a few preview images after the break.

Don’t Leave Yourself Stranded

stranded

As unfortunate as it is, I frequently hear horror stories from my clients about designers they hired that disappeared after getting paid. This alone is tarnishing designers reputations every where, but the saddest thing to hear is when a projects has been completed and the client has never received any of their project information or files such as host login credentials or original logo files. Just having your designer “complete” the project isn’t the last step. It is vital that you secure all of your project related files and data before closing out the deal.
